Definition
- Sentinel-1D is the forthcoming satellite in the European Space Agency's Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission, intended to maintain the continuity of C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data for land and ocean monitoring. Scheduled for launch in 2025, Sentinel-1D will replace Sentinel-1A, ensuring the mission's ongoing capability to deliver high-resolution, all-weather, day-and-night imagery of Earth's surface.
